Q : There are plastic surgeons who say that laser methods are good but nothing can compare with classic scalpel. What is your opinion?
A : Laser and scalpel are two different worlds, two different techniques: Laser shapes skin ( gets rid of wrinkles, spots, etc) and can restore the skin's elasticity. A face lift works for deeper layers of skin.
Q : You were one of the first clinicians to start using laser medicine in the Czech Republic.
A :
Yes, and we are very proud of that. We were amongst the first in Central Europe and now Prague has got the highest number of laser centers in Europe. We offer all types of lasers used in aesthetic medicine today. For example with hair removal, we use different techniques dependant on individual skin types. There is GentleLASE that is ideal for slavonic type of people ( fair skin, but dark hair), Ellipse is ideal for fair skin and fair hair and Laser GentleYAG is ideal for pigmented skin – because it doesn´t demage their pigmentation. Another exciting development is the new generation of laser 'Vbeam' – it gets rid off unwanted vessels from small ones to big ones without leaving scars. It is very gentle.
Q : What are the new trends?
A : The most interesting trend is the combination of lasers. We can use five to six different lasers on the patient's face in one session. We call it´fountain of youth´and the results are fantastic.
Q : What procedures are clients mostly interested in?
A : There is a growing level of interest in laser medicine where we take care of dozens of clients per day. However, interest in dentistry procedures continues to grow. If we rate it in percents % year on year, popularity in cosmetic surgery is significant - demand from abroad is increasing on a monthly basis, indeed 50% of our clients are from countries such as UK / Italy / Russia / Germany & USA.
